So What Changed for the F-150 Between 2025 and 2026?

Don't expect big revisions to the gas-powered F-150 in '26--last year's update was BIG. The 2025 refresh brought the Lobo package with its street vibe and V-8 grunt. Going with the STX 200A Equipment Group meant you got wheels sized at 20 inches, LED fog lamps that turn with the steering, fender vents highlighted in Electric Lime, zone lighting, and a defroster for the back glass.

As for the rest of the trims, they lost instead of gained features. The XLT's price came down, but Ford took away some of what used to come standard, like chrome touches on handles and grille, running boards, climate control with dual zones, and a black urethane-wrapped steering wheel. Adding the XLT Standard 301A Equipment Group brought back some of these items, however. The XLT lost several camera and trailer features that were previously standard: the 360-degree view, Pro-Trailer Backup Assist, and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist.

Over on the Lariat, the seats changed from leather trim to ActiveX trim. Its entry price also dropped while the wheels grew from 18 to 20 inches, but the power-operated sliding rear window and garage door opener got the ax. Signature Lighting on the Lariat also went away.

The STX got cheaper by downsizing to 18-inch wheels from the 20-inchers and cutting the LED foglamps and zone lighting. CCD shocks vanished as an option for King Ranch and Platinum. Colors like Darkened Bronze and Avalanche disappeared while Marsh Grey and Space White Metallic made their debut. Ford's numbered keypad, which had been included on XLT 302A and higher, shifted to dealer-installed features post-purchase.

Last year, Ford added BlueCruise 1.4, which arrived with free trial periods (from 90 days to a full year, depending on trim). And navigation went from standard to optional.

Here are your options:

  • The smallest option is a 2.7-liter V6 with twin turbos, making 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet
  • There's a 5.0-liter V8 good for 400 horses and 410 pound-feet
  • A 3.5-liter V6 with twin turbos generates 400 hp and 500 pound-feet
  • The Raptor gets its own version of the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, tuned for 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet
  • The hybrid setup uses a 3.5-liter V6 generating 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet
  • The Raptor R's supercharged 5.2-liter V8 cranks out a larger-than-life 700 horses and 640 pound-feet

A big reason people stay loyal to the F-150 is its wide-ranging engine selection--there's a fit for every F-150 buyer. No matter what you choose, engines pair with a 10-speed automatic with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive.
